Junior Tennis Clinics

Hot Shots. 8 and under beginner. Wednesdays from 4:15pm to 5:00pm. 8 and under red ball format. Focuses on fun and developing basic tennis skills and strokes. Instructor Graysen Elms.

 

Trick Shots. 10 and under beginner. Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. 10 and under format. This clinic is designed for kids age 9 and 10 who want to learn all the strokes used in the game, the rules of tennis, have fun, and develop a passion for the sport. Instructor Austin Grantham.

 

Big Shots. 11 and over beginner. Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. These full-court clinics are for kids over 11 looking to expand their knowledge of the game and work on their stroke development and shot selection. This is a great class for those who would like to play high school tennis. Instructor Graysen Elms.

 

Back spinners. 12 and under intermediate. Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. For kids ages 12 and under that want to take their tennis to the next level. Not only will this group work on stoke production and strategy but is designed to prepare juniors looking to start playing tournaments or high school tennis. This clinic will use orange and green dot balls. Instructor approval required. Instructor Austin Grantham.

 

Top spinners. 8 and under advance. Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00pm to 5:00pm. For kids ages 10 and under that have shown an ability and commitment to the game. This group is for players who recently started playing tournaments or are planning to in the near future.   This group will use orange balls on the 60 foot court. Instructor Graysen Elms.

 

Full Forward Junior Academy. 13 and under advance. Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30pm to 5:30pm. The Junior Academy is designed for tournament players in the 10s, 12s, and 14s. The training will cover detailed stroke production, match strategy , high performance drills, and fitness. An emphasis will be placed on situational match play. Participants must be approved to join this group. Instructor Alex Moncayo.

 

 

Full Forward High Performance Academy. 13 and over advance. Mondays and Tuesdays 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Fridays from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The Academy is designed for tournament players in the 14s, 16s, and 18s . The training will cover footwork, patterns and progressions, and how to develop a winning strategy against different types of opponents in both singles and doubles. Participants must be approved to join this group. Instructors Alex Moncayo, Rob Hill, and Graysen Elms.

 

Private Lessons

Private Lessons -are available on a per hour or half-hour basis from the Director of Tennis, Head Tennis Professional, and Staff Professionals.

Summer Camps

Week long beginner and intermediate camps are offered in June, July, and August each year.  The camp runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day.  Contact the Tennis Center for the next start date at 843-665-3106.
